DIY E-learning Benchmarking

The Framework has developed an online survey tool to help organisations undertake their own e-learning benchmarking.

The tool allows you to easily tailor your survey so that it is relevant to your organisation, and capture local information on VET student and VET teacher/trainer uptake and use of e-learning.

Where this information is aligned with questions included in the Framework’s national e-learning surveys you can compare your data against other VET organisations in your state or territory, and against similar provider types (eg TAFEs, private providers, schools, and community training providers).

To create and conduct your own e-learning survey you’ll need to:

• Purchase a Survey Monkey account.
• Have the Framework’s mega-survey template set up – email a request . There are two separate templates covering students or teachers/trainers.
• Use the Framework survey or customise the survey (add, delete, modify questions).
• Select your survey sample, distribute the survey link to students or teachers/trainers in the sample group and monitor survey responses.
• Download your survey results, transfer the data to the online tool and compare your results against national e-learning data.
